The Big Picture

Here’s your chance. The “Perspectives” study program is a unique study experience sponsored by the U. S. Center for World Missions. Now, this powerful class is coming to Altoona, Pennsylvania.

“...a people set apart ...to
proclaim the excellencies of God.”

What does this mean? What does God want you to do about it? Can we easily do anything to change life on this planet? In the twists and turns of daily life, God’s will can be hard to see. It’s difficult to step back from that nine-to-five pressure, that overwhelming class load, those complicated relationships and figure out what God wants you to do. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were some kind of compass you could look at that would point you in the best direction; the one God wants you to follow?

Through the “Perspectives” Study Program you can:

  • Get the facts you need to make crucial life decisions.

  • Develop a framework for accurate thinking about issues in world missions.

  • Sit in on the teaching of some of the foremost thinkers in world missions today with materials by people like Don Richardson, Steve Hawthorne, Ralph Winter, and Don McCurry.

  • •Determine how you can make your life count most strategically for world evangelization, whether by going or sending.

  • Gain new perspectives on the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic dimensions of missions.

“I am enthusiastic about Perspectives because my life and our church are devoted to spreading a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples. God intends to be known and enjoyed by every tribe, tongue and nation (Revelation 5:9). Perspectives has been essential in mobilizing hundreds of lay people in our church to be World Christians”
